He wasn’t just a horse—he was the love of my life.

His name was Smart Little Alec.

I started this because of Alec, as a way to carry him into the cutting pen with me as I showed a new horse.

And after he passed… it became his legacy.

Losing him broke me in a way I can’t fully put into words

It opened a depth of love and grief that only a heart horse can leave behind.

And in that heartbreak, this work found deeper meaning.
